Biden criticizes Trump following new poll indicating that Americans prefer Obama over him.

President Joe Biden criticized Donald Trump after a poll showed Americans favor former President Barack Obama over Trump. The survey by Marquette University conducted in September among 1,005 adults revealed that 42% viewed Trump positively, while 57% had an unfavorable opinion.

On the other hand, 57% viewed Obama favorably, resulting in a net rating of +17 points. Biden condemned Trump for "taking a wrecking ball" to American democracy during a speech at a Nebraska Democratic Party gala in Omaha. He referenced Trump's controversial demolition of the White House's East Wing to build a new ballroom.

Biden expressed surprise at the extent of Trump's actions, stating, "I expected Trump to take a wrecking ball to the country, but I had no idea there would be an actual wrecking ball." He criticized Trump's claims of a "golden age" for the country, emphasizing that Trump works for all Americans, not just the wealthy.

Additionally, Biden provided a health update, revealing his diagnosis of aggressive prostate cancer in May. With a Gleason score of 9 and metastasis to the bone, Biden underwent radiation therapy and expressed gratitude for medical advancements. He criticized Trump and Republicans for cutting healthcare funding, making care more expensive for ordinary citizens.
